Glossary of Terms

Welcome to the Polytrade Marketplace! To help you understand our platform better, here’s a glossary of key terms and concepts:

1. Polytrade Marketplace:

The online platform where users can discover, trade, and invest in various tokenized real-world assets (RWA), such as real estate, commodities, and more.

2. Asset Wrapping:

The process of securely encasing a real-world asset within a Polytrade Smart Contract (SC). In return, users receive an ERC-6960 token representing ownership rights to the underlying asset.

3. ERC-6960 Token:

A unique token standard used on Polytrade, representing ownership of real-world assets. ERC-6960 tokens can be freely traded on the Polytrade Marketplace.

4. Listing an Asset:

The act of putting a real-world asset up for sale on the marketplace indicates the seller’s intention to sell it.

5. Relisting an Asset:

The process of updating the price of a listed asset on the marketplace, allows potential buyers to purchase it at the revised valuation.

6. Buying an Asset: Acquiring an asset token may represent either a whole or a fractional share of the underlying real-world asset.

7. Buying a Fraction:

Obtaining a portion or fraction of a real-world asset through the purchase of a corresponding ERC-6960 token.

8. Sending an Offer:

Expressing interest in acquiring an asset at a specific valuation. Once approved, the buyer can proceed with the purchase based on the agreed-upon valuation.

9. Rejecting an Offer:

Declining a proposal made by another user to purchase an asset.

10. Accepting an Offer:

Indicating agreement with the proposed valuation for an asset. Once approved, the buyer can purchase a portion of the asset based on the newly established valuation.

11. Adding a Wallet:

The process of including a new wallet address to your Polytrade account for tracking your Real-World Asset (RWA) holdings on the platform.

12. Unlinking a Wallet:

Removing a wallet from your tracking list if you no longer wish to monitor your RWA assets associated with that wallet.

13. Secondary Liquidity:

The availability of a marketplace for previously illiquid real-world assets, allows users to buy, sell, and trade these assets more flexibly.

14. Multi-Chain Compatibility:

The ability of Polytrade to support multiple blockchain networks, enabling users to engage with various assets and protocols across different chains.

15. Regulatory Compliance:

Polytrade’s commitment to adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring a safe and trustworthy trading environment.

16. Fees for the Marketplace:

The charges applied for various marketplace activities, including listing fees and transaction fees. These fees may vary depending on the nature of the transaction.

17. Marketplace Discovery:

The process of navigating the marketplace to explore assets, make informed decisions, and find investment opportunities.
